There are plenty of beaches to choose from in Candelaria and neighbouring Las Caletillas, which are connected by the promenade along Avenida Maritima.

Very clean, comfortable, lovely view from the balcony and Candelaria is a nice town to be based in. Would recommend.

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad, het appartement was van alle gemakken voozien. Pluspunt was het prachtige uitzicht over zee.

Not a great experience. When we arrived, the apartment floor wasn’t properly cleaned (hair, crumbs, ants). The host was prompt in sending someone to clean - but there was still hair/crumbs when we returned. The ants turned out to be an issue (more than just a few here and there). The host initially didn’t believe us when we said there was an ant issue and wouldn’t let us move to a different place without penalty. They provided Raid and suggested we use that (which we didn’t want to with a young toddler); only toward the end did they offer more effective extermination. Not what you want when you’re on vacation, have a young child and spend so much money. Also, consistent with another review, not much toilet paper and no dish soap. On the pros, the host was generally quick to respond, and did let us check in early. Candelaria is quiet - though the apt is well located in that town (close to water/stores/a few restos/main square). The view from the patio was nice.
